PLATFORM NOTES
Use only packages and checksums published above.
Extract the client to a user-writable folder outside Program Files, set the realmlist, and start Wow.exe or the realm's signed launcher.
Use the operator-published macOS package when available. Current macOS versions may require a compatible wrapper; follow the package-specific requirements instead of bypassing platform security.
Run the Windows 3.3.5a client through Wine using a dedicated prefix. Preserve filename casing and configure the realmlist inside the client directory.
Back up screenshots and interface settings, then remove the extracted client folder and its launcher data. A clean reinstall should not require system-wide files.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Confirm that the realm is online, the realmlist contains only the configured address, and your firewall allows Wow.exe.
Close the launcher and start Wow.exe directly. The supported client is the configured realm build.
Use your account name—not your email address—in the game client. Account names are case-insensitive.
